CRAQUES DO FUTURO FC's Gugu Tavares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geraldo Abraão in the 10th minute of play. Osvaldo Arósio hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute Geraldo Abraão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gugu Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to CRAQUES DO FUTURO FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Osvaldo Arósio hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tião Urbano in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gugu Tavares saved CRAQUES DO FUTURO FC from getting behind. Geraldo Abraão struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Gugu Tavares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Itapirapuan AD. Tião Urbano hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Ronaldo Lara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Azevedo having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Geraldo Abraão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, CRAQUES DO FUTURO FC's Osvaldo Arósio got a free kick in the 29th minute. If Geraldo Abraão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the match, Itapirapuan AD's goal looked a bit too open when Décio Breckenfeld came free, but Luís Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Geraldo Abraão managed to get in a good position for a shot. Itapirapuan AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Geraldo Abraão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gugu Tavares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Geraldo Abraão made the kick off in the second half. Frederico Siqueira charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The supporters of CRAQUES DO FUTURO FC booed when Itapirapuan AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frederico Siqueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Décio Breckenfeld sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tião Urbano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Gugu Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tião Urbano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Geraldo Abraão's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gugu Tavares was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. If Tião Urbano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tião Urbano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Gugu Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
