When Mané da Silva fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carapicuíba FC's protests and gave Mané da Silva a yellow card for diving instead. Mané da Silva kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. After 45 minutes, Hílton Vides mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carapicuíba FC and the All Garrafa players grew even worse after the yellow card.

With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erik Fontes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 57 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for All Garrafa! Armandinho Lago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugênio Sena in the 62nd minute of play. Erik Fontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Fernando Maia in the 65th minute of the match. In the 68th minute, Fernandinho Paraíba got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 72nd minute, Rodolfo de Salles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
