Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Wiliam Terra made the kick off and thus started the match. Pedro Paulo Pontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wiliam Terra in the 5th minute of play. After 10 played minutes Mount Stones got a freekick which was hit by Tarcisio Ferraz. In the 11th minute, Wanderson da Mata ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Paulo Pontes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Franklin Furtado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frédson Botelho having to interfere. The supporters of Borba booed when Mount Stones was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evandro Negri didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 22 played minutes Mount Stones got a freekick which was hit by Tarcisio Ferraz. In the 23rd minute, Danilo Pinheiro sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Mount Stones's Pedro Paulo Pontes didn't even have to move. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wiliam Terra in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Paulo Pontes saved Mount Stones from getting behind. Tostão Pena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frédson Botelho having to interfere. Frédson Botelho made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Franklin Furtado sent off a good shot on target. In the 35th play minute Franklin Furtado came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Frédson Botelho. 1-1. In the 44th minute, Wiliam Terra left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Borba fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tostão Pena was the one to do the kick off. Frédson Botelho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tostão Pena, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. If Tostão Pena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Franklin Furtado struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Frédson Botelho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mount Stones. After 76 played minutes, Mount Stones's Flávio Prestes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Frédson Botelho came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mount Stones reached it. Franklin Furtado took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Frédson Botelho. Frédson Botelho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Evandro Negri during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Mount Stones getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Evandro Negri hit a great ball. After 86 played minutes Mount Stones got a freekick which was hit by Umberto Cardozo. Pedro Paulo Pontes made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Wanderson da Mata sent off a good shot on target. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
