If Papi Colorado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute, Wellington Maranhense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 21 minutes into the match, Falência F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Edson Corrêa came free, but Celsinho Mendonça reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 23 minutes into the game, Papi Colorado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Celsinho Mendonça was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Juan Cristóbal í Lon Jacobsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Duda Schmidt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Adriano Rodrigues came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Nova Granada Soccer fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adriano Rodrigues couldn't finish the play. Papi Colorado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 38 played minutes Emerson Fontes rounded Falência F.C's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. The audience was convinced that Papi Colorado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Celsinho Mendonça was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Celsinho Mendonça didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ramon Cordeara went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Felipe Paraíba made the kick off in the second half. Celsinho Mendonça took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emerson Fontes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adriano Rodrigues took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Celsinho Mendonça. Celsinho Mendonça dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Ramon Cordeara took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 57th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Celsinho Mendonça. Falência F.C's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adriano Rodrigues in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Celsinho Mendonça prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 67th minute Mihai Eminescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celsinho Mendonça saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Celsinho Mendonça didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nestor Magalhães went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. Adriano Rodrigues recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adriano Rodrigues in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Celsinho Mendonça saved Falência F.C from getting behind. If Nestor Magalhães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 82 minutes, Duda Schmidt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Falência F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Duda Schmidt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Juninho Paraíba fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Falência F.C's protests and gave Juninho Paraíba a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Falência F.C's Juninho Paraíba got a free kick in the 88th minute. In the 95th minute, Diego Valladares ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Celsinho Mendonça was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0.
