Mount Stones's Pedro Paulo Pontes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Mount Stones from getting a goal against them. 15 minutes into the match, Falência F.C's Felipe Paraíba sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Paulo Pontes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Felipe Paraíba got in the 18th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Pedro Paulo Pontes handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Paraíba in the 19th minute of play forced Mount Stones's goalkeeper Pedro Paulo Pontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felipe Paraíba in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Paulo Pontes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pedro Paulo Pontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Paraíba, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Tony de Salles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mount Stones's supporters rose to their feet, but Tony de Salles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Celsinho Mendonça breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Celsinho Mendonça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osvaldo Palmeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Duda Schmidt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Pedro Paulo Pontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tarcisio Ferraz kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. After 60 played minutes Falência F.C got a freekick which was hit by Wellington Maranhense. Tarcisio Ferraz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 60th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Celsinho Mendonça. Falência F.C's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Tony de Salles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 65 minutes in the game, Osvaldo Palmeira fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Celsinho Mendonça having to interfere. Felipe Paraíba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Mount Stones getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Tostão Pena hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Mount Stones's zone, Duda Schmidt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Paulo Pontes came out of the goal and Duda Schmidt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pedro Paulo Pontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Paraíba, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. When Duda Schmidt came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Falência F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Duda Schmidt couldn't finish the play. In the 91st minute, Osvaldo Palmeira fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Pedro Paulo Pontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Paraíba in the 94th minute of the match. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
