The referee ignored A.E.F.P.MORATUS's protests and gave Cauan Bueno a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of SuperCampeõesRJ booed when A.E.F.P.MORATUS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cauan Bueno didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 3rd minute, Norberto Tróia made a precise shot to the right of José Paulo de Moraes. A.E.F.P.MORATUS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Germano Sarmento made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Cristóvão Pirani sent off a good shot on target. Diamantino Arruda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Germano Sarmento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 12 played minutes SuperCampeõesRJ got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Miranda. After 13 played minutes, A.E.F.P.MORATUS's Diamantino Porto shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Germano Sarmento came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in A.E.F.P.MORATUS reached it. In the 16thth minute of the game Norberto Tróia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but A.E.F.P.MORATUS's José Paulo de Moraes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Diamantino Arruda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgar Meirelles's late challenge caught a A.E.F.P.MORATUS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. SuperCampeõesRJ's Germano Sarmento proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save SuperCampeõesRJ from getting a goal against them. After 42 played minutes A.E.F.P.MORATUS got a freekick which was hit by Diamantino Arruda. If Norberto Tróia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Evaristo Moreira made the kick off in the second half. José Paulo de Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evaristo Moreira in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 56th minute Diamantino Arruda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Germano Sarmento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Germano Sarmento didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristóvão Pirani went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, A.E.F.P.MORATUS's Diamantino Arruda got a free kick in the 64th minute. If Diamantino Arruda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, A.E.F.P.MORATUS's José Paulo de Moraes got control of the ball when Norberto Tróia tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 75 minutes, Dário Camargo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the A.E.F.P.MORATUS and the SuperCampeõesRJ players grew even worse after the yellow card. SuperCampeõesRJ's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After a rather tough play, A.E.F.P.MORATUS's Cauan Bueno got a free kick in the 93rd minute. When Norberto Tróia came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the SuperCampeõesRJ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Norberto Tróia couldn't finish the play.
