The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Abel de Andrade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristóvão Pirani in the 13th minute of the match. In the 16th minute Remo Gonçalves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Paulo de Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lavajinha SS's Abel de Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristóvão Pirani in the 19th minute of play. In the 21st minute of the match Tiago Fontes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Abel de Andrade showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 29 minutes into the match, A.E.F.P.MORATUS's goal looked a bit too open when Remo Gonçalves came free, but José Paulo de Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Remo Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A.E.F.P.MORATUS's José Paulo de Moraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jano de Alcântara in the 39th minute of play. When Lavajinha SS's Waldemar Nunes in the 48th minute got a chance for a shot 48th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye A.E.F.P.MORATUS's goalie prevented a goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Waldemar Nunes to make the kick off. Remo Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cauan Bueno during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to A.E.F.P.MORATUS getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Cauan Bueno hit a great ball. When Cristóvão Pirani fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored A.E.F.P.MORATUS's protests and gave Cristóvão Pirani a yellow card for diving instead. Cristóvão Pirani hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as A.E.F.P.MORATUS's Diamantino Arruda slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Abel de Andrade. That made the score 1-1 after 63 minutes of play. 70 minutes into the game, Lavajinha SS's Remo Gonçalves nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. José Paulo de Moraes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Remo Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, A.E.F.P.MORATUS's Cauan Bueno got a free kick in the 81st minute. Lavajinha SS's Waldemar Nunes got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Remo Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernardinho Rodrigues took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 96th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for José Paulo de Moraes. A.E.F.P.MORATUS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Lavajinha SS fully deserved thier win.
