After some careless play in the Ituyutaba defense, Aloísio de Sena kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Afonso Vinhas. The Ituyutaba fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Afonso Vinhas should have stopped the shot. In the 15th minute of the match, Nico Gaspar got a very nice opportunity to score, but Afonso Vinhas was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Fred Quirino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 21st minute Aloísio de Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Vinhas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Afonso Vinhas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aloísio de Sena, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Luciano Queiroz succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 33rd playminute. Nico Gaspar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Vinhas having to interfere. In the 38thth minute of the game Aloísio de Sena who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ituyutaba's Afonso Vinhas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 43rd minute, Fred Quirino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aloísio de Sena made a kick off. In the 58th minute, Mathias Mandrak left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Quixelo AD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Nico Gaspar struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Afonso Vinhas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quixelo AD. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Aloísio de Sena managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quixelo AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Aloísio de Sena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Afonso Vinhas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 72 played minutes Quixelo AD got a freekick which was hit by Nico Gaspar. In the 78th minute Nico Gaspar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Vinhas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Nico Gaspar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Afonso Vinhas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nico Gaspar, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Nico Gaspar's late challenge caught a Ituyutaba's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nico Gaspar helped the player get up and apologised. In the 88th minute, Nico Gaspar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paulo Renato Leite hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Afonso Vinhas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luciano Queiroz, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Quixelo AD were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Ituyutaba for a fine match.
