With an extended leg and a bit of luck Afonso Vinhas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Cristóvão Pirani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Afonso Vinhas came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by A.E.F.P.MORATUS's Dário Camargo. But to his dismay, Dário Camargo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Afonso Vinhas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristóvão Pirani, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 26 minutes into the match, Diamantino Arruda notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Ituyutaba's Afonso Vinhas. Afonso Vinhas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 35th match minute, A.E.F.P.MORATUS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chiquinho Carneiro to maneuver through the defense. After 40 played minutes Ituyutaba got a freekick which was hit by Geovanni da Fonseca. After having played for 44 minutes, Cristóvão Pirani managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A.E.F.P.MORATUS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristóvão Pirani was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Ituyutaba players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. A.E.F.P.MORATUS were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Diamantino Arruda was the one to do the kick off. A.E.F.P.MORATUS's José Paulo de Moraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fred Quirino in the 53rd minute of play. Cristóvão Pirani could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Afonso Vinhas made a huge save. Luciano Martins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Paulo de Moraes having to interfere. Fred Quirino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. José Paulo de Moraes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
