Cookies Team's Mané Favoretto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dário Tasso in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dário Tasso in the 20th minute of play forced Cookies Team's goalkeeper Mané Favoretto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Cookies Team's zone, Samuca Neves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mané Favoretto came out of the goal and Samuca Neves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 24th minute, Dário Tasso fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Mané Favoretto, passed just outside the right post. If André Luiz Quadros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Cookies Team's André Luiz Quadros in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Jitirana EC's goalie prevented a goal. Patrick Paraíba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robinho Meira having to interfere. André Luiz Quadros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Robinho Meira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Patrick Paraíba was the one to do the kick off. When Samuca Neves fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jitirana EC's protests and gave Samuca Neves a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Jitirana EC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Samuca Neves hit a great ball. In the 79th minute of the match Wellington Dionísio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Robinho Meira skillfully saved the ball. Mané Favoretto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dário Tasso's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. Teodoro da Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Mané Favoretto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
