Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Anselmo de Sena took the kick off in the first half of the match. Marquinhos Simão succeeded in the game's 5th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. 12 minutes into the match, San Martim's goal looked a bit too open when Márcio Bezerra came free, but Josué Loyola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Xaxim AD booed when San Martim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fellipe Motta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marquinhos Simão's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Josué Loyola read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. San Martim's Josué Loyola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marquinhos Simão in the 16th minute of play. With a little luck, Xaxim AD's Rafael Lara got control of the ball when Rodriguinho Souto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Agnaldo Alagoano charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Agnaldo Alagoano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Márcio Bezerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josué Loyola having to interfere. Marquinhos Simão struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Josué Loyola didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Xaxim AD. Marquinhos Simão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Josué Loyola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Xaxim AD's Rafael Lara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anselmo de Sena in the 48th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marquinhos Simão to strike the kick off in the second half. Rodriguinho Souto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rafael Lara read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Juarês Maia hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. In the 54th match minute, Xaxim AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marquinhos Simão to maneuver through the defense. In the 60th minute, Marquinhos Simão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 65 played minutes San Martim got a freekick which was hit by Juarês Maia. After recieving a nice pass, Xaxim AD's Roger Valladares tried to score from far away in the 66th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Márcio Bezerra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Xaxim AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Márcio Bezerra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Josué Loyola breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Xaxim AD's Roger Valladares couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 75th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for San Martim. When Nilmar Prado fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Xaxim AD's protests and gave Nilmar Prado a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Xaxim AD getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Nilmar Prado hit a great ball. 84 minutes into the match, Marquinhos Simão notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of San Martim's Josué Loyola. Josué Loyola was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 88 minutes, Rodriguinho Souto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Martim's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodriguinho Souto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 91 minutes into the match, San Martim's goalkeeper Josué Loyola had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Márcio Bezerra. Rafael Lara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodriguinho Souto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anselmo de Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over Xaxim AD could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than San Martim throughout the match.
