In the 6thth minute of the game Fausto Monteiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chakais do Oeste's Ruy Mota was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Chakais do Oeste's Bernardo Queirós got a free kick in the 9th minute. After 14 minutes of play, Ibitipora's Sérgio Figueiredo made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ruy Mota was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Ibitipora getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Sérgio Figueiredo hit a great ball. Ruy Mota took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 高思宽, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ruy Mota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Monteiro in the 22nd minute of the match. Ibitipora's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fausto Monteiro in the 25th minute. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Fausto Monteiro advanced and headed the ball into goal, 1-2 in the 26th minute. Carlos Eduardo Cosme charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlos Eduardo Cosme the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Vivaldo Vides struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Ruy Mota didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ibitipora. 31 minutes into the match, 高思宽 had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ruy Mota. Chakais do Oeste's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that 高思宽 was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. In the 36th minute Fausto Monteiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruy Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Eduardo Cosme hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Carlos Eduardo Cosme was shown his second yellow card after 41 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Carlos Eduardo Cosme kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. 44 minutes into the game, Anderson de Amorim cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Simão Sarmento was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half Ibitipora were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After 52 minutes, Bernardo Queirós mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chakais do Oeste and the Ibitipora players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Chakais do Oeste getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Bernardo Queirós hit a great ball. Fausto Monteiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Chakais do Oeste's Ruy Mota played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fausto Monteiro in the 56th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Chakais do Oeste's Rui Paulista got a free kick in the 58th minute. Ruy Mota made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Vivaldo Vides sent off a good shot on target. 63 minutes into the match, Chakais do Oeste's goalkeeper Ruy Mota had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by 高思宽. 64 minutes into the match, Fausto Monteiro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ruy Mota, 2-4. Hortêncio Albuquerque fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruy Mota having to interfere. 70 minutes into the game, Fausto Monteiro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ruy Mota. Fausto Monteiro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-5. If Anderson de Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 77 minutes, Fausto Monteiro made it 2-6 with a short kick to the right side. Chakais do Oeste's Ruy Mota tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Monteiro in the 84th minute of play forced Chakais do Oeste's goalkeeper Ruy Mota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 高思宽 could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Ruy Mota made a huge save. Ruy Mota showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Monteiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. 90 minutes into the match, Chakais do Oeste's goal looked a bit too open when Fausto Monteiro came free, but Ruy Mota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ibitipora's Hortêncio Albuquerque got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ruy Mota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hortêncio Albuquerque in the 94th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zé Marquez during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
