The supporters of Chakais do Oeste booed when Jitirana EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Natanael Moreno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jitirana EC's Robinho Meira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Marquez in the 10th minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Jitirana EC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 11th minute. Penalty! 20 minutes into the game, Natanael Moreno was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jitirana EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chakais do Oeste the free kick. After a rather tough play, Jitirana EC's Natanael Moreno got a free kick in the 20th minute. Natanael Moreno didn't get a good kick on the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Zé Marquez dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Robinho Meira, 2-0. After 30 minutes, Ronaldinho Cabral mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jitirana EC and the Chakais do Oeste players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ronaldinho Cabral kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Robinho Meira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Marquez in the 32nd minute of the match. With a little luck, Jitirana EC's Robinho Meira got control of the ball when Anderson de Amorim tried to sneak it across the goal line. Guga Brito hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. 42 minutes into the match, Chakais do Oeste's goal looked a bit too open when Samuca Neves came free, but Ruy Mota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ruy Mota showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dário Tasso, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Chakais do Oeste were furious when Guga Brito was red carded, 45 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dário Tasso was the one to do the kick off. Ruy Mota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodoro da Rocha in the 54th minute of play. Victor Andrade might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Robinho Meira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Victor Andrade ran back to his position shaking his head. Betinho Coutinho took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Robinho Meira. Robinho Meira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Anderson de Amorim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 71st minute Betinho Coutinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robinho Meira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ruy Mota made an important save on a dangerous shot by Teodoro da Rocha in the 74th minute. If Hélder Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Betinho Coutinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anderson de Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robinho Meira having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Jitirana EC's zone, Hélder Carneiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robinho Meira came out of the goal and Hélder Carneiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Chakais do Oeste's Anderson de Amorim in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Jitirana EC's goalie prevented a goal. Anderson de Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robinho Meira having to interfere. Chakais do Oeste's Hélder Carneiro got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Chakais do Oeste walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
