Spectators: 7198 (Terracing: 5400, Seating: 1655, VIP seats: 143) Cookies Team's Patrick Paraíba started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mané Favoretto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abelardo de Medeiros's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. Remo Schmidt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 16 minutes of play, Jitirana EC's Abelardo de Medeiros made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mané Favoretto was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Luiz Guilherme Fontes fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cookies Team's protests and gave Luiz Guilherme Fontes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 21st minute, Luiz Guilherme Fontes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Abelardo de Medeiros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jitirana EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Abelardo de Medeiros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mané Favoretto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Remo Schmidt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mané Favoretto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Remo Schmidt went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 38th minute, Jitirana EC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Patrick Paraíba fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Robinho Meira made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when André Luiz Quadros sent off a good shot on target. In the 46th minute of the match, Patrick Paraíba tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Robinho Meira saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abelardo de Medeiros stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Patrick Paraíba came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Cookies Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patrick Paraíba couldn't finish the play. Abelardo de Medeiros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 58 minutes into the match, André Luiz Quadros notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Jitirana EC's Robinho Meira. Robinho Meira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Remo Schmidt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Mané Favoretto made a huge save. In the 68th minute, Ronaldinho Cabral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Jitirana EC's Ronaldinho Cabral got a free kick in the 70th minute. Patrick Paraíba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robinho Meira having to interfere. In the 77th match minute, Jitirana EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baltazar Netto to maneuver through the defense. Patrick Paraíba scored 2-2 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Robinho Meira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cookies Team's Mané Favoretto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abelardo de Medeiros in the 83rd minute of play. After 85 minutes Cookies Team's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Manfredo Rodrigues who took care of the corner kick. If Remo Schmidt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
