Delfim de Medeiros blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zhelyazko Qwinton having to make a save. In the 11th minute, Jean Rosado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edgar Tinoco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maicon de Amaral in the 13th minute of play. The long shot by Cipriano Alagoano in the 16th minute really tested Zhelyazko Qwinton's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 18th minute, Vito Linhares ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zhelyazko Qwinton was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. If Delfim de Medeiros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Delfim de Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zhelyazko Qwinton having to interfere. Luiz de Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Edgar Tinoco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, MARICÁ FUTEBOL CLUBE's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz de Amaral came free, but Edgar Tinoco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Delfim de Medeiros took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Zhelyazko Qwinton to make any attempt to save it. If Maicon de Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgar Tinoco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz de Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vito Linhares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zhelyazko Qwinton having to interfere. Zhelyazko Qwinton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delfim de Medeiros in the 46th minute of play. Maicon de Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Edgar Tinoco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Delfim de Medeiros to make the kick off. 59 minutes into the game, Maicon de Amaral recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Edgar Tinoco. Maicon de Amaral showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. After 62 minutes, Natanael Breckenfeld mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SE Piroxenio and the MARICÁ FUTEBOL CLUBE players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 62 played minutes SE Piroxenio got a freekick which was hit by Natanael Breckenfeld. In the 63rd minute of the match Renatinho Meirelles sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zhelyazko Qwinton skillfully saved the ball. In the 66th minute, Reinaldo Cearense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edgar Tinoco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Natanael Breckenfeld, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Reinaldo Cearense charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Reinaldo Cearense the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Reinaldo Cearense kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Edgar Tinoco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maicon de Amaral in the 81st minute of play. Zhelyazko Qwinton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vito Linhares in the 82nd minute of play. Delfim de Medeiros's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zhelyazko Qwinton read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. In the 85th match minute, SE Piroxenio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reinaldo Cearense to maneuver through the defense. Renatinho Meirelles, 86 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 88 played minutes MARICÁ FUTEBOL CLUBE got a freekick which was hit by Antônio Carlos de Carvalho. Maicon de Amaral charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maicon de Amaral the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Delfim de Medeiros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jarbas Soares charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jarbas Soares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, SE Piroxenio's Jarbas Soares got a free kick in the 96th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the SE Piroxenio players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for MARICÁ FUTEBOL CLUBE.
