Spectators: 7022 (Terracing: 5422, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 100) When Luciano de Queiroz came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Bacasable FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luciano de Queiroz couldn't finish the play. Rubinho Pena kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. After having played for 10 minutes, Jânio Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Catakeamain's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jânio Queirós was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nilton Montenegro hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Catakeamain defense, Rubinho de Mendonça kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luiz Fernando Lago. The Catakeamain fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luiz Fernando Lago should have stopped the shot. In the 19th minute of the match Jeferson Bittencourt shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luiz Fernando Lago showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 24th minute Bacasable FC were awarded a corner. Luís Eduardo Teixeira went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Bacasable FC's Luís Eduardo Teixeira to fire away a dangerous shot which Luiz Fernando Lago despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Catakeamain's goalkeeper Luiz Fernando Lago, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fabrício Mendes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Dieguinho Linhares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juan Aguiar charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Juan Aguiar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Juan Aguiar hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Jânio Queirós struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Dieguinho Linhares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Catakeamain. Rubinho de Mendonça could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Luiz Fernando Lago made a huge save. Catakeamain's Luiz Fernando Lago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luciano de Queiroz in the 41st minute of play. When Nilton Montenegro fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Catakeamain's protests and gave Nilton Montenegro a yellow card for diving instead. Basílio Vasconcelos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The wind increased when Jânio Queirós made the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Luciano de Queiroz put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Luiz Fernando Lago. When Rubinho de Mendonça came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Bacasable FC fans jumped to their feet. Luiz Fernando Lago showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rubinho de Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. 89 minutes into the game, Bacasable FC's Rubinho de Mendonça nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luiz Fernando Lago made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Catakeamain's Luiz Fernando Lago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luciano de Queiroz in the 93rd minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Catakeamain's goal looked a bit too open when Luciano de Queiroz came free, but Luiz Fernando Lago reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bacasable FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
