Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hernani Dante's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luiz Fernando Lago read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Luiz Fernando Lago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernani Dante in the 15th minute of play. A collision led to Catakeamain getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Serginho Costa hit a great ball. After 18 played minutes Ubirataia FC got a freekick which was hit by João Carlos Vale. Luiz Fernando Lago stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hernani Dante's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. In the 36thth minute of the game Hernani Dante who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Catakeamain's Luiz Fernando Lago was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 39th minute, Serginho Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hernani Dante recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 45thth minute of the game Hernani Dante who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Catakeamain's Luiz Fernando Lago was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. André Luiz Martins made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabrício Mendes in the 47th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hernani Dante to make the kick off. Wesley Sousa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Luiz Fernando Lago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 60 played minutes, Ubirataia FC's Toninho de Sena shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Luiz Fernando Lago came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ubirataia FC reached it. The supporters of Ubirataia FC booed when Catakeamain was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rubinho Pena didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th match minute, Catakeamain was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serginho Costa to maneuver through the defense. Hernani Dante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonardo Matorin got free with Luiz Fernando Lago in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jânio Queirós hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. An unexpected shot in the 92nd minute by Hernani Dante got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hernani Dante in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luiz Fernando Lago prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Ubirataia FC booed when Catakeamain was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nilmar Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ubirataia FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
