But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastião Silva couldn't finish the play. Sebastião Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zhelyazko Qwinton having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in NANA Futebol Clube's zone, Luiz de Amaral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frederico Baptista came out of the goal and Luiz de Amaral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 16 minutes into the match, NANA Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Frederico Baptista had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luiz de Amaral. In the 19th minute Cristiano Lucas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zhelyazko Qwinton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reinaldo Cearense got his second yellow card in the match during the 19th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, SE Piroxenio's Reinaldo Cearense got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 21st minute, Cristiano Lucas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, NANA Futebol Clube's Patrick Urbano got a free kick in the 24th minute. Luiz de Amaral struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Frederico Baptista didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SE Piroxenio. Teodoro Donatello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Luiz de Amaral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Frederico Baptista read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Luiz de Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frederico Baptista having to interfere. When the match had been going on for 39 minutes, SE Piroxenio's Håkon Wheelwright got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Frederico Baptista. Zhelyazko Qwinton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristiano Lucas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastião Silva in the 51st minute of play forced SE Piroxenio's goalkeeper Zhelyazko Qwinton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Sebastião Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patrick Urbano hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. 56 minutes into the match, SE Piroxenio's Håkon Wheelwright broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Cristiano Lucas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 68th minute of the match, Sebastião Silva got a very nice opportunity to score, but Zhelyazko Qwinton was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 73rd minute, Toninho Braga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 74th minute, Cristiano Lucas fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Zhelyazko Qwinton, passed just outside the right post. Natanael Breckenfeld's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Frederico Baptista read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. NANA Futebol Clube's Frederico Baptista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz de Amaral in the 88th minute of play. Zhelyazko Qwinton made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sebastião Silva in the 93rd minute. If Cristiano Lucas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SE Piroxenio's Zhelyazko Qwinton proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save SE Piroxenio from getting a goal against them. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
