Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cristiano Lucas started the match with the kick off. After 3 played minutes Catakeamain got a freekick which was hit by Serginho Costa. 13 minutes into the game, Sebastião Silva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. NANA Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Catakeamain the free kick. After a rather tough play, NANA Futebol Clube's Sebastião Silva got a free kick in the 13th minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in NANA Futebol Clube fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 15th minute. Penalty! When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Fabrício Mendes sped through NANA Futebol Clube's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Frederico Baptista. After 28 minutes of play NANA Futebol Clube's Sebastião Silva was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Catakeamain booed when NANA Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastião Silva didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Catakeamain's Frederico Baptista threw himself towards the right post 36 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jânio Queirós, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Fabrício Mendes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frederico Baptista having to interfere. In the 39th match minute, NANA Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inácio Paes to maneuver through the defense. In the 42nd minute Catakeamain were awarded a corner. Nilmar Cunha went to the cornerflag to take it. Flávio Fernandes tried in the 42nd minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Frederico Baptista a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 4-0. Fabrício Mendes struck a weak shot in the 49th minute. Frederico Baptista didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Catakeamain. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jânio Queirós made a kick off. Jânio Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62ndth minute of the game Jânio Queirós who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but NANA Futebol Clube's Frederico Baptista was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luiz Fernando Lago stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristiano Lucas's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Jânio Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot. Catakeamain's supporters rose to their feet, but Jânio Queirós was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frederico Baptista breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, NANA Futebol Clube's Washington Sampaio got a free kick in the 73rd minute. 76 minutes into the match, Catakeamain's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Lucas came free, but Luiz Fernando Lago reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 79 minutes into the match, NANA Futebol Clube's Washington Sampaio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luiz Fernando Lago narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Catakeamain getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Serginho Costa hit a great ball. When Jânio Queirós came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Catakeamain fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jânio Queirós couldn't finish the play. Catakeamain walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
