Samuca Couto succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 21st playminute. Samuca Couto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Evaristo Meirelles made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Samuca Couto sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Rubinho Damião's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Evaristo Meirelles was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. Gilvan Arce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evandro Donatello having to interfere. Gilvan Arce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute, Thomás da Silva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Atlético Mauá's Evaristo Meirelles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuca Couto in the 59th minute of play. After 60 played minutes Atlético Mauá got a freekick which was hit by Umberto Sousa. The supporters of Atlético Mauá booed when Xurupitas Football Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elói Ribeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Evandro Donatello came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético Mauá's Laércio Munhoz. But to his dismay, Laércio Munhoz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Laércio Munhoz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Evandro Donatello made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Delfim Gerber during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 77 minutes into the game, one of Xurupitas Football Team:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Atlético Mauá a penalty, 80 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Baltazar Tepedino, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Xurupitas Football Team's Evandro Donatello. 2-2. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 89 minutes into the game, one of Xurupitas Football Team:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 97th minute Gilvan Arce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evandro Donatello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Atlético Mauá players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
