Spectators: 6120 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 120) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gugu Alcântara took the kick off in the first half of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Pedro Luís Leão managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pantera Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Luís Leão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nilmar Cearense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Pedro Luís Leão took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Nilmar Cearense to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, Pantera Futebol Clube's Paulo José Xavier got a free kick in the 8th minute. Duarte Prata didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gugu Alcântara went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Nilmar Cearense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Luís Leão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gualter Gomes charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gualter Gomes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 15th minute, Gualter Gomes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Luís Leão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Nilmar Cearense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Delfim Capixaba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Norberto Bertassi fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Surui's protests and gave Norberto Bertassi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 25th minute, one of Surui:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Surui. Chicão Falcão shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Delfim Capixaba could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Nilmar Cearense made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Delfim Capixaba kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nilmar Cearense. That made the score 2-1 in the 32 minute of play. Duarte Prata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gugu Alcântara in the 38th minute of the match. Nilmar Cearense made an important save on a dangerous shot by Delfim Capixaba in the 46th minute. The supporters of Pantera Futebol Clube booed when Surui was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norberto Bertassi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chicão Falcão missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 49 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Nilmar Cearense right hand side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Cléberson Marquez hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Delfim Capixaba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Nilmar Cearense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 62nd minute, Pedro Luís Leão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Delfim Capixaba recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pedro Luís Leão in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nilmar Cearense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pedro Luís Leão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nilmar Cearense having to interfere. João Carlos Lopes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Pedro Luís Leão got free in front of the goal in the 78th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Nilmar Cearense was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Gugu Alcântara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nilmar Cearense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Luís Leão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A very good chance. 94 minutes into the match, Pantera Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Duarte Prata had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by João Carlos Lopes. In the 96th minute, Luís Arruda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Pantera Futebol Clube's Chicão Falcão tried to score from far away in the 97th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Pantera Futebol Clube had played much better football throughout.
