After a rather tough play, Imbuial's Miguel Martins got a free kick in the 32nd minute. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Cauã Aguiar put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Adhemar Soeiro. The Imbuial fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adhemar Soeiro should have stopped the shot. Kaká Hermes made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Dinei Rocha sent off a good shot on target. In the 48th match minute, Ocaucu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Renato Machado to maneuver through the defense. 50 minutes into the match, Imbuial's Dinei Rocha sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kaká Hermes narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Imbuial's goalkeeper Adhemar Soeiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Imbuial fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ocaucu were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
