Urubici FC's Vinícius Motta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diogo Viana in the 17th minute of play. 25 minutes into the game, Parecis EC's Joélson Vale nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vinícius Motta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Vinícius Motta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joélson Vale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Urubici FC booed when Parecis EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diogo Viana didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Parecis EC's zone, Enéas Mendonça stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Serginho Mendonça came out of the goal and Enéas Mendonça tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 65th minute Diogo Viana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vinícius Motta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Joélson Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diogo Viana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gilberto Rossi charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gilberto Rossi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Parecis EC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
