Anselmo Penha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cauã Aguiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Dráusio da Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Ocaucu players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mutrapeba were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cauan de Queirós stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 54 minutes, Cauan de Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mutrapeba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cauan de Queirós was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 63rd minute Cauã Aguiar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anselmo Penha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anselmo Penha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richard Pernambucano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Richard Pernambucano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anselmo Penha having to interfere. After 74 minutes of play Mutrapeba's Ruy Messias was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Ruy Messias kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Ocaucu's Noel Gaúcho couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 75th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Mutrapeba. Ocaucu's Cauã Aguiar got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 80 minutes into the match, Ocaucu's goalkeeper Kaká Hermes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dráusio da Cunha. In the 84th match minute, Mutrapeba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cauan de Queirós to maneuver through the defense. Cauã Aguiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Cauã Aguiar came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Ocaucu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cauã Aguiar couldn't finish the play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Mutrapeba walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
