The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Oscar Paranaense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adhemar Soeiro having to interfere. After some careless play in the Urubici FC defense, Vânderson Motta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vinícius Motta. The Urubici FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vinícius Motta should have stopped the shot. Dinei Velloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Adhemar Soeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Imbuial's goalkeeper Adhemar Soeiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dinei Velloso. The crowd rose to their feet as Urubici FC's Dinei Velloso slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Adhemar Soeiro. That made the score 1-1 after 26 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enéas Mendonça in the 30th minute of play forced Imbuial's goalkeeper Adhemar Soeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Urubici FC's Dinei Velloso got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Oscar Paranaense managed to get in a good position for a shot. Urubici FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Oscar Paranaense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adhemar Soeiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 35 minutes into the match, Imbuial's goal looked a bit too open when Dinei Velloso came free, but Adhemar Soeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dinei Velloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dinei Velloso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Dinei Rocha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Vinícius Motta was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Breno Urbano kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Michel Viana was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 58th minute. Imbuial's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dinei Rocha got free with Vinícius Motta in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dinei Velloso hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Tostão Tavares kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. After 68 minutes, Dinei Velloso made it 2-3 with a short kick to the right side. Imbuial's Adhemar Soeiro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 78 played minutes Imbuial got a freekick which was hit by Vânderson Motta. Imbuial's Adhemar Soeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dinei Velloso in the 87th minute of play. Oscar Paranaense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Urubici FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
