The supporters of SELERINTHIANS booed when ESPORTE CLUBE SELECT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oséias Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hortêncio Baiano in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gernando Vides prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Celsinho Luz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Gernando Vides tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SELERINTHIANS's Hortêncio Baiano was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 11th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 16thth minute of the game Hortêncio Baiano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ESPORTE CLUBE SELECT's Gernando Vides was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hortêncio Baiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Gernando Vides tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ezequiel Toscano kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Hortêncio Baiano in the 27thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gernando Vides, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ronaldão Guedes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto de Mendonça in the 29th minute of play. SELERINTHIANS were furious when Gustavo Soeiro was red carded, 30 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 29 minutes into the game, one of SELERINTHIANS:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Zé Augusto Tinoco managed to get in a good position for a shot. SELERINTHIANS's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Augusto Tinoco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gernando Vides breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ezequiel Toscano during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gernando Vides acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 42nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Pedro Pirani. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Augusto Tinoco couldn't finish the play. Gernando Vides showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hortêncio Baiano in the 48th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Celsinho Luz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto de Mendonça in the 54th minute of play forced SELERINTHIANS's goalkeeper Ronaldão Guedes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ronaldão Guedes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto de Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 59 minutes, Zé Augusto Tinoco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SELERINTHIANS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zé Augusto Tinoco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, ESPORTE CLUBE SELECT's Oséias Queirós got a free kick in the 63rd minute. In the 64th minute of the match Pedro Pirani shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gernando Vides showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. SELERINTHIANS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 66th minute, when Roberto de Mendonça scored to the left of an out of position Ronaldão Guedes, making the score, 1-2. With his leg Ronaldão Guedes managed to avoid a goal in the 71stth minute, when ESPORTE CLUBE SELECT's Gabriel Mangueira fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ronaldão Guedes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Mangueira in the 73rd minute of the match. Zé Augusto Tinoco struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Gernando Vides didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SELERINTHIANS. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Gabriel Mangueira managed to get in a good position for a shot. ESPORTE CLUBE SELECT's supporters rose to their feet, but Gabriel Mangueira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zé Augusto Tinoco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind ESPORTE CLUBE SELECT's goalkeeper Gernando Vides, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 90th minute Celsinho Luz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gernando Vides saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zé Augusto Tinoco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Gernando Vides tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SELERINTHIANS were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
