Spectators: 7255 (Terracing: 5469, Seating: 1676, VIP seats: 110) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Caetano de Carvalho kicked off to start the match. Glauco Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cléberson Lucas having to interfere. Germano Silveira hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 12th match minute, Fumo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caetano de Carvalho to maneuver through the defense. Thiago Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armandinho Damião having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, Xuenqui FC's goal looked a bit too open when Caetano de Carvalho came free, but Armandinho Damião reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Xuenqui FC's goalkeeper Armandinho Damião, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Xuenqui FC's Armandinho Damião played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thiago Abreu in the 29th minute of play. Armandinho Damião made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thiago Abreu in the 31st minute of play. In the 34th minute, Thiago Abreu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Armandinho Damião showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caetano de Carvalho in the 36th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Caetano de Carvalho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Armandinho Damião was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Germano Silveira in the 47th minute of play forced Xuenqui FC's goalkeeper Armandinho Damião to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Samuel Zonta made the kick off in the second half. Cléberson Lucas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Zonta in the 53rd minute of the match. Armandinho Damião made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caetano de Carvalho in the 55th minute of play. The supporters of Xuenqui FC booed when Fumo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivo Garcia didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Glauco Alcântara in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cléberson Lucas saved Fumo from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Caetano de Carvalho in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Armandinho Damião prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 65 played minutes Xuenqui FC got a freekick which was hit by Didi de Azevedo. After a rather tough play, Xuenqui FC's Adilson Mineiro got a free kick in the 68th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thiago Abreu got free with Armandinho Damião in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Xuenqui FC's zone, Thiago Abreu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Armandinho Damião came out of the goal and Thiago Abreu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 75 minutes, Caetano de Carvalho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fumo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Caetano de Carvalho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cléberson Lucas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Glauco Alcântara in the 78th minute of play. In the 79th minute Glauco Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cléberson Lucas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thiago Abreu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Armandinho Damião made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caetano de Carvalho in the 87th minute of play forced Xuenqui FC's goalkeeper Armandinho Damião to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Didi de Azevedo charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Didi de Azevedo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Xuenqui FC's Didi de Azevedo got a free kick in the 89th minute. In the 90th minute, Hélder Linares sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Xuenqui FC's Armandinho Damião didn't even have to move. If Caetano de Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thiago Abreu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Fumo players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
