Edinho Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Armandinho Damião tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juarês Vieira took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Armandinho Damião. Armandinho Damião dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Juarês Vieira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Armandinho Damião tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Armandinho Damião showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juarês Vieira, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Dudu Peixoto might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Armandinho Damião. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dudu Peixoto ran back to his position shaking his head. 27 minutes into the match, Tiago Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel Zonta came free, but Emerson Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luiz Gustavo Marques's late challenge caught a Xuenqui FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luiz Gustavo Marques helped the player get up and apologised. In the 27th match minute, Tiago Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Gustavo Marques to maneuver through the defense. After 29 played minutes Tiago Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Juarês Vieira. 32 minutes into the match, Juarês Vieira notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Xuenqui FC's Armandinho Damião. Armandinho Damião was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 40 minutes into the match, Tiago Futebol Clube's Juarês Vieira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Armandinho Damião narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Juarês Vieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dudu Peixoto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armandinho Damião having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Samuel Zonta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Juarês Vieira got free with Armandinho Damião in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Glauco Alcântara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Emerson Nascimento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Tiago Futebol Clube's Luiz Gustavo Marques got a free kick in the 59th minute. After 66th play minutes Glauco Alcântara shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Emerson Nascimento and just under the crossbar into goal. Glauco Alcântara struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Emerson Nascimento didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Xuenqui FC. Emerson Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Zonta in the 73rd minute of play. Xuenqui FC's Armandinho Damião proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Xuenqui FC from getting a goal against them. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Xuenqui FC's goalkeeper Armandinho Damião, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Glauco Alcântara took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emerson Nascimento. Emerson Nascimento dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. When Glauco Alcântara came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Xuenqui FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Glauco Alcântara couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Tiago Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Régis Monteiro hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Glauco Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Xuenqui FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Glauco Alcântara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emerson Nascimento breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice moves Juarês Vieira could shoot a difficult shot in the 94th minute, which Armandinho Damião however easily saved by the left post. Tiago Futebol Clube were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
