The audience thought a goal was coming when Tales de Brito got free with Walmir Paranaense in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Umburaninha's Marcelo Loureiro got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 28th minute, Nestor Cunha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Umburaninha's Walmir Paranaense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delfim Paes in the 29th minute of play. Nuno Camargo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edvaldo Guedes having to interfere. Gilberto Mandrak's late challenge caught a Umburaninha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gilberto Mandrak helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Umburaninha's Murillo Travassos got a free kick in the 37th minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Doriva Massa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The attack was good, but when Tales de Brito in the 53rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Delfim Paes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walmir Paranaense having to interfere. In the 58th match minute, Umburaninha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nestor Cunha to maneuver through the defense. Nuno Camargo struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Edvaldo Guedes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Umburaninha. Delfim Paes kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Delfim Paes in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Walmir Paranaense saved Umburaninha from getting behind. In the 77th minute, Delfim Paes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Walmir Paranaense was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Delfim Paes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 93 minutes into the game, Tales de Brito cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Walmir Paranaense was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
