Spectators: 6102 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1100, VIP seats: 2) Diego Cosme started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 7 minutes into the match, Diego Cosme notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Atecubanos's Enrique Prestes. Enrique Prestes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 13th minute Thiago Peres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Prestes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Caiçara Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Gilvan Trevisan hit a great ball. Marcelo Proença fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Sá having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Atecubanos's zone, Diego Cosme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enrique Prestes came out of the goal and Diego Cosme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eliézer de Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Diego Cosme in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Enrique Prestes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Enrique Prestes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Cosme in the 33rd minute of play. Marcelo Proença succeeded in the game's 36th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sérgio Mattos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 58th match minute, Atecubanos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moisés Meirelles to maneuver through the defense. In the 66th minute Alfredo da Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Prestes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Eliézer de Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caiçara Esporte Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliézer de Castro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enrique Prestes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Diego Cosme kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Atecubanos's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Diego Cosme 86 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. After recieving a nice pass, Atecubanos's Moisés Meirelles tried to score from far away in the 92nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcelo Proença during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Marcelo Proença hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. The Atecubanos fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Caiçara Esporte Clube were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
