After having played for 10 minutes, Paulinho Aguiar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atalho SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulinho Aguiar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 15 minutes into the match, Atalho SS's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Tasso came free, but Naldo Reis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Naldo Reis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Tasso in the 15th minute of play. Zé Pedro Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Horácio Branco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Demux - FSCMZ's Horácio Branco got control of the ball when Zé Pedro Senna tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Zé Pedro Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Atalho SS's Zé Pedro Senna got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paulinho Aguiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zé Pedro Senna kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 28thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Demux - FSCMZ's keeper Horácio Branco was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maicon Mineiro got free with Horácio Branco in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zé Pedro Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Horácio Branco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Demux - FSCMZ's Horácio Branco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manoel Mendes in the 37th minute of play. Paulinho Aguiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horácio Branco having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Pedro Tasso made the kick off in the second half. Zé Pedro Senna took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Horácio Branco. Horácio Branco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Paulinho Aguiar scored 2-0 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Horácio Branco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Zé Pedro Senna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atalho SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Pedro Senna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Horácio Branco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zé Pedro Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. The referee ignored Atalho SS's protests and gave Adhemar Rossi a yellow card for diving instead. Adhemar Rossi hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Horácio Branco came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Atalho SS's Paulinho Aguiar. But to his dismay, Paulinho Aguiar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Atalho SS's Naldo Reis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmílson Capixaba in the 84th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Paulinho Aguiar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Demux - FSCMZ's Duda Bueno got a free kick in the 93rd minute. 96 minutes into the match, Manoel Mendes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Horácio Branco. Demux - FSCMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Manoel Mendes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Atalho SS's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
