If Christian Leme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Umburaninha's zone, Alexsandro Lima stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Walmir Paranaense came out of the goal and Alexsandro Lima tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Leme in the 28th minute of play forced Umburaninha's goalkeeper Walmir Paranaense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alexsandro Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Walmir Paranaense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Leme in the 33rd minute of the match. 36 minutes into the match, Tejessuoca's goal looked a bit too open when Nuno Camargo came free, but Faustão Figueiredo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fernão Machado's late challenge caught a Umburaninha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fernão Machado helped the player get up and apologised. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Doriva Massa to make the kick off. Faustão Figueiredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doriva Massa in the 72nd minute of play. Nuno Camargo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Umburaninha's Walmir Paranaense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Leme in the 76th minute of play. Nuno Camargo struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Faustão Figueiredo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Umburaninha. Doriva Massa might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Faustão Figueiredo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Doriva Massa ran back to his position shaking his head. Faustão Figueiredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doriva Massa in the 87th minute of play. Nuno Camargo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faustão Figueiredo having to interfere. Faustão Figueiredo made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Nuno Camargo sent off a good shot on target. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
