The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Ruy Carvalho notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Baronesa's Raúl Recife. Raúl Recife was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Raúl Recife took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernandinho Gaspar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fernandinho Gaspar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Raúl Recife tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ruy Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raúl Recife having to interfere. Fernandinho Gaspar struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Raúl Recife didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lacio. Rubinho Guedes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Raúl Recife tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ruy Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Lacio booed when Baronesa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Carlos Dracena didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zé Carlos Dracena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 30 minutes, Ruy Carvalho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lacio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ruy Carvalho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ruy Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Raúl Recife tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36thth minute of the game Fernandinho Gaspar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Baronesa's Raúl Recife was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Ruy Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raúl Recife made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernandinho Gaspar in the 41st minute of play. Raúl Recife didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fernandinho Gaspar went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernandinho Gaspar in the 55th minute of play forced Baronesa's goalkeeper Raúl Recife to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ruy Carvalho got free with Raúl Recife in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 57 minutes, Zé Carlos Dracena mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Baronesa and the Lacio players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Lacio booed when Baronesa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Carlos Dracena didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ruy Carvalho might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Raúl Recife. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ruy Carvalho ran back to his position shaking his head. When Nilmar Neves fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Baronesa's protests and gave Nilmar Neves a yellow card for diving instead. After 66 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Baronesa! Alex Nunes placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Fernandinho Gaspar took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Raúl Recife to make any attempt to save it. Ruy Carvalho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Raúl Recife made a huge save. Raúl Recife made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernandinho Gaspar in the 77th minute of play. Fernandinho Gaspar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raúl Recife having to interfere. Fernandinho Gaspar did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-4 to the left of a surprised Raúl Recife 84 minutes into the match. Fernandinho Gaspar scored 0-5 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Raúl Recife, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ruy Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle sounded Lacio left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Baronesa.
