Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Eusébio Mendonça made the kick off which started today's match. The supporters of Jazz Messengers FC booed when Tauarua was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulinho Marques didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elivélton Vale recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eusébio Mendonça received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Geraldo Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nestor da Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geraldo Carvalho having to interfere. 21 minutes into the game, Vítor Ortiz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Alex Vianna was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nestor da Silva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Nestor da Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Eusébio Mendonça came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Jazz Messengers FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eusébio Mendonça couldn't finish the play. Eusébio Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geraldo Carvalho having to interfere. Alex Vianna didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elivélton Vale went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The supporters of Tauarua booed when Jazz Messengers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reginaldo Leme didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tauarua's Geraldo Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusébio Mendonça in the 45th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vítor Ortiz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Vítor Ortiz put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Alex Vianna. Alex Vianna made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Elivélton Vale sent off a good shot on target. In the 72nd match minute, Tauarua was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sílvio Luiz Meireles to maneuver through the defense. Vítor Ortiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alex Vianna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vítor Ortiz in the 86th minute of play. Nestor da Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Vítor Ortiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Alex Vianna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Tauarua supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Tauarua would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
