The audience thought a goal was coming when Otávio Batista got free with Osvaldinho Sá in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Blizzard SC's Osvaldinho Sá proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Blizzard SC from getting a goal against them. In the 19th minute, André Guerra left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Boleras FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. A collision led to Blizzard SC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Norberto Ortiz was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 29th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Aírton Neves's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Osvaldinho Sá was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sérgio de Azevedo during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Osvaldinho Sá made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aírton Neves in the 40th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Boleras FC's Osvaldinho Sá threw himself towards the right post 44 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Aírton Neves, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eliseu Velloso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Blizzard SC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Hermínio Queirós hit a great ball. Osvaldinho Sá took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Otávio Batista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute, Aírton Neves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Osvaldinho Sá took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Otávio Batista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aírton Neves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 69 minutes, Otávio Batista managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boleras FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Otávio Batista was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 71 minutes into the game, Tarcisio Linhares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Blizzard SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Boleras FC the free kick. In the 73rd minute Aírton Neves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osvaldinho Sá saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Otávio Batista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvaldinho Sá having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Aírton Neves's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Osvaldinho Sá was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. The supporters of Boleras FC booed when Blizzard SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulysses Meirelles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Boleras FC's Otávio Batista got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Boleras FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
