An unexpectedly hard shot by Aírton Neves in the 4th minute of play forced Ariau's goalkeeper Jailson Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lino Mandrak charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lino Mandrak the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 9th minute, Lino Mandrak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 14 minutes into the match, Boleras FC's goal looked a bit too open when Celso Borges came free, but Manoel Hames reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Boleras FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. André Guerra hit a great ball. José Paulo Branco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manoel Hames having to interfere. Celso Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Gernando Ramalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gernando Ramalho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Celso Borges struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Manoel Hames didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ariau. When Gernando Ramalho came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Boleras FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gernando Ramalho couldn't finish the play. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ariau's goalkeeper Jailson Brito, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 38 minutes into the game, André Guerra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Boleras FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ariau the free kick. In the 41st minute Celso Borges shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manoel Hames saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th minute, Aírton Neves fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jailson Brito, passed just outside the right post. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. José Paulo Branco was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Aírton Neves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boleras FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aírton Neves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. During the 54th minute of the match Lino Mandrak completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Lino Mandrak a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Boleras FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Lino Mandrak hit a great ball. Gernando Ramalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Jailson Brito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 64 played minutes Ariau got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Eduardo Araújo. When Ariau's José Paulo Branco in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Boleras FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 70th minute, Aírton Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jailson Brito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gernando Ramalho in the 90th minute of the match. Celso Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, José Paulo Branco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ariau's supporters rose to their feet, but José Paulo Branco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manoel Hames breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Boleras FC's André Guerra got a free kick in the 97th minute. 98 minutes into the match, Ariau's Manoel Pitta broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal.
