Spectators: 6715 (Terracing: 5050, Seating: 1665, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jacinto Araújo kicked off to start the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Geovânio Simões got free with Jarbas Tasso in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nilton Mattos kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Válter Quadros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robinho Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 11th minute Jacinto Araújo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Válter Quadros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jacinto Araújo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 15th minute Robinho Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Válter Quadros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th minute, Roger Pombal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luisinho de Carvalho charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luisinho de Carvalho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 17th minute, Luisinho de Carvalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Real Andradas's zone, Nilton Mattos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Válter Quadros came out of the goal and Nilton Mattos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luisinho de Carvalho kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Manuel Duarte took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Válter Quadros. Válter Quadros dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Nilton Mattos struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Válter Quadros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cruzeiro S.A. Real Andradas's Válter Quadros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto Araújo in the 41st minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Renatinho Damião made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kléberson Mazza during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cruzeiro S.A's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jacinto Araújo in the 59th minute. Válter Quadros was out of position in the 63 minute of play, and Nilton Mattos capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Nilton Mattos really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. Válter Quadros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacinto Araújo, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. After 67 played minutes Real Andradas got a freekick which was hit by Edmílson França. In the 76th minute of the match, Jacinto Araújo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Válter Quadros saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Robinho Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Válter Quadros having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Jacinto Araújo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Válter Quadros. That made the score 3-4 in the 84 minute of play. Nilton Mattos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Cruzeiro S.A's Jacinto Araújo in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Real Andradas's goalie prevented a goal. Robinho Castro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Válter Quadros made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Cruzeiro S.A's Nilton Mattos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Válter Quadros. That made the score 3-5 after 95 minutes of play. The Real Andradas fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Cruzeiro S.A were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
