But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorginho Prata couldn't finish the play. Gino Gerber didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 13th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Sílvio Luís Vargas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Gino Gerber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Tacihua's goal looked a bit too open when Jorginho Prata came free, but Gino Gerber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Suits's Jorginho Prata got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Tacihua's Valdo Faria got a free kick in the 41st minute. 44 minutes into the match, Tacihua's goalkeeper Gino Gerber had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cássio Ramos. Gino Gerber showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorginho Prata in the 46th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jorginho Prata to strike the kick off in the second half. Jorginho Prata blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gino Gerber having to make a save. Tacihua's Gino Gerber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sílvio Luís Vargas in the 56th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sílvio Luís Vargas in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gino Gerber saved Tacihua from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Suits's Perivaldo Chaves got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Paulo José Luz charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paulo José Luz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the referee ended the match the Suits players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
