An unexpectedly hard shot by Vânderson Tasso in the 16th minute of play forced Xablau Loverboy's goalkeeper César Varela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Jataba's goal looked a bit too open when Cipriano Branco came free, but Rafinha Figueiredo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cipriano Branco might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rafinha Figueiredo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cipriano Branco ran back to his position shaking his head. Xablau Loverboy's Cipriano Branco got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leonel Mandrak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Rafinha Figueiredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Cipriano Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexandre Seco scored 1-0 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of César Varela, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cipriano Branco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cipriano Branco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafinha Figueiredo having to interfere.
