Davi Baptista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonçalo de Amaral in the 21st minute of play. Chiquinho Leite kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Carlinhos Santos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Benjamim Vides fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santos F.C's protests and gave Benjamim Vides a yellow card for diving instead. Benjamim Vides kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Luiz Eduardo de Mendonça struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Téo Ramos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santos F.C. Davi Baptista acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 41st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Olavo Reis. Davi Baptista made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlinhos Santos in the 45th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half.
