José Carlos Queirós scored 1-0 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Davi Baptista, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 24 played minutes Santos F.C got a freekick which was hit by Chiquinho Leite. Luiz Eduardo de Mendonça received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Gino Gerber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Luiz Eduardo de Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Davi Baptista was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lucas Aparecido showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 40 minute of play. In the 44th minute, Pedrão Pirani had to leave the field with a concussion. 44 minutes into the game, Benjamim Vides was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Santos F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tacihua the free kick. A collision led to Santos F.C getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Benjamim Vides hit a great ball. In the 46th match minute, Tacihua was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdo Faria to maneuver through the defense.

The wind increased when José Carlos Queirós made the kick off in the second half. Luiz Eduardo de Mendonça struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Gino Gerber didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santos F.C. Gino Gerber didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 61st minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. When Túlio Sarmento fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santos F.C's protests and gave Túlio Sarmento a yellow card for diving instead. After 69 played minutes Santos F.C got a freekick which was hit by Túlio Sarmento. When Tacihua's Lucas Aparecido in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Santos F.C's goalie prevented a goal. In the 86th minute José Carlos Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Davi Baptista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If José Carlos Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Santos F.C getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Chiquinho Leite hit a great ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Tacihua fully deserved thier win.
