The audience thought a goal was coming when Erasmo Prata got free with Felippe Loureiro in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Mucana FC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Armando Alvarenga hit a great ball. 8 minutes into the match, Coroata's Amílton Senna broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 10 minutes into the match, Coroata's Maicon Rezende sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Felippe Loureiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Paulo Garcia in the 14th minute of play forced Coroata's goalkeeper Ismael Romero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felippe Loureiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erasmo Prata's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amílton Senna couldn't finish the play. Felippe Loureiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maicon Rezende, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Erasmo Prata managed to get in a good position for a shot. Coroata's supporters rose to their feet, but Erasmo Prata was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Felippe Loureiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. João Paulo Garcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Romero having to interfere. João Paulo Garcia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Ismael Romero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
