The audience thought a goal was coming when Gilmar de Alcântara got free with Sidnei Paranaense in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 17th minute, Tadeu Catarinense made a precise shot to the right of Marcus Montenegro. RUBRONEGRO CRF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Celsinho Linhares kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After 22 played minutes, Mensaleiros F. RUBRONEGRO CRF's Marcus Montenegro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tadeu Catarinense in the 43rd minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, RUBRONEGRO CRF's goal looked a bit too open when Tadeu Catarinense came free, but Marcus Montenegro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Mensaleiros F. C's Sidnei Paranaense got control of the ball when Gilmar de Alcântara tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half Mensaleiros F. C were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Marcus Montenegro came out and tried to block the shot, but Tadeu Catarinense slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 87th minute.
