Dorival Arruda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kaká Cavalcante in the 10th minute. Kaká Cavalcante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erivaldo Gaúcho in the 13th minute of play forced GALÁTICOS's goalkeeper Dorival Arruda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Tigre FC booed when GALÁTICOS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Márcio Freire didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Rafinha Coelho fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GALÁTICOS's protests and gave Rafinha Coelho a yellow card for diving instead. Kaká Cavalcante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorival Arruda having to interfere. GALÁTICOS's Dorival Arruda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erivaldo Gaúcho in the 20th minute of play. After a rather tough play, GALÁTICOS's Kiko Schmidt got a free kick in the 20th minute. Márcio Freire's late challenge caught a Tigre FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Márcio Freire helped the player get up and apologised. After a defensive mix-up in GALÁTICOS's zone, Erivaldo Gaúcho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dorival Arruda came out of the goal and Erivaldo Gaúcho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rafinha Coelho took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcel Trigo. Marcel Trigo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Dorival Arruda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erivaldo Gaúcho in the 68th minute of play. When Tigre FC's Kaká Cavalcante in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Erivaldo Gaúcho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorival Arruda having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geovani Jacinto in the 81st minute of play forced GALÁTICOS's goalkeeper Dorival Arruda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Juninho Neiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Tigre FC's Kaká Cavalcante in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye GALÁTICOS's goalie prevented a goal. The Tigre FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching GALÁTICOS's performance.
