Mucana FC's Felippe Loureiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Mucana FC from getting a goal against them. Vitório Miranda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Felippe Loureiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Walmyr Amorim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 15th minute, Vitório Miranda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 17 minutes, João Paulo Garcia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mucana FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Paulo Garcia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Mucana FC booed when Iguaçu Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Francisco Branco didn't get a good kick on the ball. If João Paulo Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mucana FC's goalkeeper Felippe Loureiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Iguaçu Football Club's Walmyr Amorim got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Mathias Ceresso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mucana FC's Felippe Loureiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vitório Miranda in the 50th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mathias Ceresso was the one to do the kick off. With his leg Enéas Tróia managed to avoid a goal in the 59thth minute, when Mucana FC's João Paulo Garcia fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to Mucana FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Josué Ribeiro hit a great ball. Luiz Fábio Melo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 67th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Felippe Loureiro. Mucana FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Mucana FC's Mathias Ceresso in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Iguaçu Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Vitório Miranda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Felippe Loureiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 84th minute, Armando Alvarenga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Iguaçu Football Club's Vitório Miranda in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mucana FC's goalie prevented a goal. If Vitório Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. João Paulo Garcia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Enéas Tróia having to make a save. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Mucana FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
