Maicon Pitta charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maicon Pitta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 9 played minutes FC Avenged Sevenfold got a freekick which was hit by Guilherme Tavares. Elias Esteves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo dos Santos in the 12th minute of play. Gerson Lopes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elias Esteves having to interfere. In the 15thth minute of the game Ricardo dos Santos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Avenged Sevenfold's Elias Esteves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 18 played minutes Pardiuva got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo dos Santos. 22 minutes into the game, Gerson Lopes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pardiuva's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Avenged Sevenfold the free kick. Gerson Lopes kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alessandro Lucas got free with Eriberto Nascimento in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 34th minute, Ricardo dos Santos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Gerson Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When João Paulo Souto fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Avenged Sevenfold's protests and gave João Paulo Souto a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Pardiuva booed when FC Avenged Sevenfold was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Paulo Souto didn't get a good kick on the ball. 40 minutes into the match, Pardiuva's Reginaldo Alagoano broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Ricardo dos Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 44 minutes into the match, FC Avenged Sevenfold's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo dos Santos came free, but Elias Esteves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Pardiuva booed when FC Avenged Sevenfold was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Paulo Souto didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Guilherme Tavares made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Durvalino Fernandez during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Ricardo dos Santos came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Pardiuva fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ricardo dos Santos couldn't finish the play. Ricardo dos Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elias Esteves having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ricardo dos Santos in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elias Esteves prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gerson Lopes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Elias Esteves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th minute, FC Avenged Sevenfold's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gerson Lopes fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Pardiuva's Ricardo dos Santos got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Ricardo dos Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elias Esteves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ricardo dos Santos's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. After 82 minutes, Vitinho Corrêa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Avenged Sevenfold and the Pardiuva players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to FC Avenged Sevenfold getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Vitinho Corrêa hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo dos Santos in the 83rd minute of play forced FC Avenged Sevenfold's goalkeeper Elias Esteves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Ricardo dos Santos kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Elias Esteves. That made the score 0-1 in the 85 minute of play. Elias Esteves made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Gerson Lopes sent off a good shot on target. Ricardo dos Santos struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Elias Esteves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pardiuva. When the match was over Pardiuva could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC Avenged Sevenfold throughout the match.
