Eugênio Peixoto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Haroldo Paraibano made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Maurício Neves sent off a good shot on target. In the 29th minute Eugênio Peixoto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haroldo Paraibano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. S.C Petrolina em Vermelho's defense didn't have a chance, in the 30th minute, when Cleiton Correia scored to the left of an out of position Haroldo Paraibano, making the score, 5-0. When Vivaldo Hermes came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Phantasma FC fans jumped to their feet. Wilson Rocha made in the 43rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by S.C Petrolina em Vermelho's João Vítor Borges. Olívio Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Durvalino de Alcântara in the 45th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eugênio Peixoto to make the kick off.
