Horácio Motta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amadeu Vaz in the 28th minute of the match. Clemente Mangueira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Horácio Motta made a huge save. In the 41st match minute, Cascavel PR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joélson de Medeiros to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Mosquito's Pedrinho Penha tried to score from far away in the 43rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 45 minutes into the match, Mosquito's Otávio Veloso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Murilo Araújo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Otávio Veloso made the kick off in the second half. Danilo Couto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Cascavel PR's Ulysses de Medeiros got a free kick in the 54th minute. 56 minutes into the game, Otávio Veloso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Otávio Veloso didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Amadeu Vaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. During the 76th minute of the match Abel Salles completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Abel Salles a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The referee ignored Mosquito's protests and gave Tiaguinho Penha a yellow card for diving instead. Tiaguinho Penha hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Danilo Couto got free with Murilo Araújo in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. André Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Murilo Araújo having to interfere. Oséas Martins's late challenge caught a Mosquito's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oséas Martins helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Cascavel PR's Oséas Martins got a free kick in the 87th minute. 90 minutes into the game, Cascavel PR's Clemente Mangueira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Horácio Motta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Gil Neiva hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Horácio Motta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amadeu Vaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mosquito's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
