Danilo Couto got in the 19th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Toninho Carvalho handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Mosquito's zone, Fabrício Romero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Horácio Motta came out of the goal and Fabrício Romero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Danilo Couto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Danilo Couto in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Toninho Carvalho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fabrício Romero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alberto de Lara took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Horácio Motta. Horácio Motta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Toninho Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danilo Couto in the 41st minute of play. Otávio Veloso struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Toninho Carvalho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mosquito. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Alberto de Lara made the kick off in the second half. When Otávio Veloso came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Mosquito fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Otávio Veloso couldn't finish the play. 54 minutes into the match, Hollywood Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Otávio Veloso came free, but Toninho Carvalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 73 minutes, Otávio Veloso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mosquito's supporters crossed their fingers, but Otávio Veloso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fabrício Romero blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Horácio Motta having to make a save. Horácio Motta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto de Lara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Otávio Veloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Toninho Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, Hollywood Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Otávio Veloso came free, but Toninho Carvalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 92 minutes into the match, Mosquito's Danilo Couto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Toninho Carvalho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Toninho Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Otávio Veloso in the 93rd minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Mosquito had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
