Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Oscar Moreira started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Otávio Veloso fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Mosquito's Otávio Veloso got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Júnior Novaes charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Júnior Novaes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Mosquito booed when São Bernardo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júnior Novaes didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Otávio Veloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wanderson Vargas came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Mosquito's Danilo Couto. But to his dismay, Danilo Couto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Noel Trancoso hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Horácio Motta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oscar Moreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jorge da Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horácio Motta having to interfere. If Danilo Couto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in São Bernardo FC's zone, Otávio Veloso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wanderson Vargas came out of the goal and Otávio Veloso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Danilo Couto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Mosquito booed when São Bernardo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Noel Trancoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When Mosquito's Danilo Couto in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye São Bernardo FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 53rd minute Danilo Couto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wanderson Vargas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 54 minutes of play São Bernardo FC's Júnior Novaes was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 55 played minutes São Bernardo FC got a freekick which was hit by Júnior Novaes. 56 minutes into the game, Danilo Couto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Wanderson Vargas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. São Bernardo FC's Wanderson Vargas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danilo Couto in the 59th minute of play. In the 66th match minute, Mosquito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedrinho Penha to maneuver through the defense. Abel Salles struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Wanderson Vargas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mosquito. A collision led to São Bernardo FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Válbson de Carvalho hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Otávio Veloso in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wanderson Vargas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Danilo Couto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Wanderson Vargas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 84 minutes into the game, Otávio Veloso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Wanderson Vargas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Mosquito booed when São Bernardo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Válbson de Carvalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Mosquito fans' excitement grew in the 91st match minute when Mosquito's Otávio Veloso looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
